Lake Martin Higher Winter Water Level Approved by FERC
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved a new winter Lake Martin water level of 483′ MSL (the old lake level was 480′ MSL) and an extended lake season.” The lake will stay at full pool until October 15th, given ample water supply, which is roughly a 6 week extension of the “Season”. This is great news for Lake Martin residents and property owners. This Lake Martin Rule Curve change has been a hot topic for several years, with the Lake Martin rule change originally being denied.
